THE HECHO VALLEY
La Val d'Echo, (Hecho Valley) with the villages of Embún, Urdués, Siresa and Hecho is watered by the River Aragón Subordán. The valley, along with the Ansó, Aragües and Aísa valleys, is part of the Western Valleys Natural Park and is near the town of Jaca.
The people of the valley maintain a living culture and tradition centred around shepherding and farming which have shaped the landscape. The villages of stone houses are full of life.
The valley is one of the best conserved in the Pyrenees with fabulous, unspoiled nature and scenery.
The uncrowded and pristine mountains the Hecho Valley are ideal for hiking, gentle walks, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding and canyoning. The valley has a fascinating history and culture with old traditions, ancient buildings and standing stones living side by side with vibrant cultural events and great gastronomy and atmosphere in the villages.
Put your boots on and discover new mountains, hidden valleys and forests full of life. Cross the beech, fir and pine forests and climb over passes. Discover a mountain lake, summit a peak and look out over the infinite Pyrenees. Highlight mountains here are Bisaurín, Peñaforca, Lenito, Agüerri, Castillo de Acher and Chipeta. After hiking one the many trails in the valley you can take a dip in a river pool.
If you need more thrills than hiking and discovering incredible landscapes, wild animals and pristine nature you can try canyoning, climbing, paragliding, mountain biking, ziplines…..
If history is your thing then come and find traces of 5000 years of human history in the valley with neolithic tombs and menhirs, a Roman road and Medieval churches. Also, don´t miss discovering the traditions and ancestral way of life in the valley.

Seeing chamois jump from rock to rock and Lammergeier gliding above you is easy in our valley. There are also endemic orchids and thousands of beautiful flower species.
The valley starts changing colour in October the Beeches, Limes, Walnuts, Oaks and Maples produce amazing Autumn colours combined with the evergreen pines and firs.

Borda Bisaltico was originally a farm and now has a campsite with cabins, apartments and a rural hostal. We have a restaurant serving local dishes and barbecued meats. The terrace has a fantastic view and there is a playground for the children. Open weekends, public holidays, and all summer.
